Taking in a repair
Starting a service job, by serial number or QR scan.
New Intake — look up the item by typing its serial number, or use the Scan QR button to scan the item's own passport QR code or label directly; either way resolves to the real unit, scoped to your own manufacturer's network.
Intake creates the first entry in that item's repair record and marks it under repair — its passport quietly shows "under repair" without exposing any private diagnosis details.
Intake only works for units that have actually left the manufacturer (assigned to a dealer, sold, or already repaired before) — nothing to repair yet on a unit that's still sitting in the manufacturer's own stock.
